Jetic
Get Started

Installation

Install jetic-cli globally, via npx, or build the monorepo from source.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js >= 20
  • pnpm >= 9 (only needed when building from source)

Option A — Global NPM install

npm install -g jetic-cli

Once installed, npm registers the jetic binary on your PATH:

jetic --help

You can also run it without installing:

npx jetic-cli --help

Option B — Build from source (monorepo)

git clone https://github.com/jeticlabs/Jetic.git
cd Jetic

pnpm install # Install workspace dependencies
pnpm build # Build all packages and apps

cd apps/cli
pnpm link --global # Expose the `jetic` binary globally

Package name vs executable

The package is published as jetic-cli (npm install -g jetic-cli), but the command you type is jetic (jetic init, jetic scan, jetic dev, …).

Verify the install

jetic --help
jetic doctor # Diagnose Node version, config, adapters, and ports

Requirements for the target project

Jetic works against an existing backend:

RequirementNeeded for
package.jsonFramework and dependency detection
tsconfig.jsonAutomatic jetic scan (Express + TypeScript only)
A running serverjetic simulate endpoint, jetic simulate workflow, live MCP testing

Other frameworks and languages are supported by modeling endpoints manually in Jetic Studio, or by letting your editor's AI author the model through the MCP tools.

Monorepo layout

Jetic is a clean TypeScript pnpm monorepo:

jetic-cli — CLI executable & workflow runner
@jetic/dashboard — Jetic Studio web IDE
scanner — ts-morph static Express route analyzer
model — model schema types & Zod validators
simulator — data generation & endpoint simulation
memory — scoped runtime key-value store
core — config, filesystem sync, logger & errors
mcp-server — Model Context Protocol server
