Roadmap & Vision

What ships today, and where Jetic is heading. Planned items are not yet available.

Everything above this line in the sidebar is implemented and documented against the current release. This page is a vision — items below are not available in the CLI yet and should not be relied on. They are listed so the direction is clear, not as a feature reference.

Available today

  • Static AST scanner — ts-morph analysis of Express + TypeScript with import resolution and nested-router flattening.
  • Declarative behavioral model — versioned .jetic/model.json with source line references.
  • Stateful workflow engine — multi-step execution with captureInput, capture, and inject.
  • Memory system — scoped runtime state in .jetic/memory.json.
  • Jetic Studio — React local web IDE: overview, model explorer, endpoint inspect, simulations, memory, and ReactFlow traces.
  • Lightweight change scanner — zero-dependency file watcher writing .jetic/changes.json, streamed live via SSE with jetic_get_changes / jetic_clear_changes MCP integration.
  • MCP server — structured tooling for AI IDEs with no AI key required.
  • Deterministic agents — model-watcher and workflow-impact.
  • Split YAML export — jetic model export --yaml.

Planned

State-machine transition testing

Automatic verification of state transitions — e.g. payment.capture() is valid when the payment is authorized and invalid when refunded.

Security & authorization auditor

Scenario synthesis for common vulnerability classes such as IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference) and privilege escalation, with concrete behavioral evidence and trace links.

Plugin & adapter ecosystem

A public SDK for community scanner adapters beyond Express and Fastify (Next.js, NestJS, Hono, GraphQL, gRPC), plus a network-isolated scanner worker for cloud execution of third-party adapter code.

Additional runtime commands

A broader command surface is planned, including a generic jetic run <thing> execution entry point, a tools runtime (jetic.tools.ts / defineTool), and dedicated jetic test / CI entry points.

Reports & CI integrations

Structured reports (JSON, HTML, Markdown, SARIF) and GitHub PR flows that scan the diff, identify affected workflows, run them, and investigate failures.

Feature requests

Because the roadmap reflects an evolving design, treat the exact command names and shapes above as indicative rather than final.
